Grace Park
6th Grade Counselor
I am your 6th-grade counselor! I am originally from Northern California, moved down for my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at UC Irvine, and made my way back up where I earned my Masters in Counseling at San Jose State University. I am thrilled to be back in sunny SoCal and at BVMS to walk alongside students in their journey through middle school. I enjoy watching students grow, spending time with loved ones, face timing with my nephew, and eating delicious foods!
Sara Hulsy
7th Grade Counselor
I am so happy to be a part of the BVMS counseling team as the 7th-grade counselor. I attended UC Irvine and graduated from there in 1992 as a Psychology major. I fell in love with school counseling during one of my internships at UCI and decided to pursue a Master's degree and PPS Credential in School Counseling from Loyola Marymount University. I was hired as a College Counselor at Chaminade College Prep and have been helping students in this role since 1994.
I am a mom to three wonderful teenagers and when I am not at work, I enjoy playing tennis, going to concerts and traveling to places on my bucket list.
I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
Liz Schulcz
8th Grade Counselor
I am so excited to be the new 8th Grade Counselor at BVMS! I obtained my Master of School Counseling degree from the University of Southern California, and I also have a degree in Childhood and Special Education from New York University. My favorite part of my job is ensuring students feel safe, seen, and supported at BVMS and beyond. I am a Los Angeles native and love spending time with my friends and family. Go Bulldogs!
Kristen Hartley

I have been a counselor since 2016 and started my career in Palo Alto. My master's is from Chapman University, and I am also an alumnus from Cal State Long Beach. I love my job and am so happy to support students in feeling safe and successful while they are at BVMS and beyond. I am recently married, and we have an adorable Corgi dog named Maverick together. I love to read, go to the beach, hike, and listen to music. I also love watching basketball, my favorite team being The Golden State Warriors - go dubs!
