About Me
Ms. George joined BVMS in 2019 and has over 35 years of dance experience, 25 of them have also included teaching, choreographing, and coaching for colleges, competitive studios, high schools, and middle schools. Prior to joining the BVMS family, Ms. George was the Head Coach for the nationally ranked Valley Christian Dance Team (San Jose) and the Department Head at Las Positas College. While at Valley Christian and Las Positas College she produced and choreographed multiple faculty and student dance concerts. She was also a captain of the nationally ranked Concord Blue Devils Winterguard. Additionally, Ms. George has taught and judged for the United Spirit Association, Top Honors, and the Northern California Band Association. While performing with her college dance company she was a two-time finalist for the Kennedy Center American College Dance Festival. Ms. George earned the BHUSD Apple Teacher Award for 2021-2022 and is also a certified PilatesMat Instructor. Ms. George is proud to say she has dance students who have attended Chapman University, UC Irvine, Cal Lutheran, Cal State San Jose, University of Arizona, Mills College, Dean College, and many who have gone straight into the Dance Industry. Ms. George holds a Master of Education from National University and A Bachelor of Arts in Theatre in Theatre with options in Dance and Costume Design from California State University Hayward.
