Mrs. Painter's Class Room C111
Dear Room C111 Students,
I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Gabrielle (Gabi) Painter. I am very excited to be your Second Grade teacher! I, too, attended Beverly Vista for elementary school, just like you, and I love teaching at the school where I was a student. It is my goal for each of you to feel as though this classroom is your home away from home. I cannot wait to discover each of your special talents, and I am looking forward to working with you and your parents. I know we will have a fantastic year together!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have a beautiful 13 year old daughter, Isabela. This year, she is in 8th Grade, her last year at Beverly Vista. I also have an adorable 10 year old son, Jesse, who is in Mr. Milliken’s 5th Grade class. I am married to Mr. Painter, who is the Assistant Principal at El Rodeo, as well as the Summer Intervention Principal. He used to teach fifth grade here at B.V. I have one sister, Jillian, who is married, lives in New York, and has two beautiful children named Lucas and Willa. My mom is Mrs. Landau. She retired from teaching a few years ago, but she substitute teaches when she can because she loves teaching so much. I am sure she will visit and help us out a lot. My house is like a miniature zoo. This summer, we rescued and adopted two five week old black kittens, which brings us to a grand total of four cats: Tiger, Socksie, Auggie, and Cody, one dog: Middie, and one frog: Flipper. Isabela and Jesse really love our pets.
This summer vacation just zoomed by. We started off our vacation by going to Balboa Island where we walked around the island many times, rode on the ferry, went on the Ferris Wheel, played games at the Fun Zone, rented a boat to go around the bay, and played in the water and sand. We ate many frozen bananas that week too. We also had one week of Cousin Fest with Lucas and Willa, which ended with us going to Napa Valley for a family wedding. We ended our summer by spending all of our time cuddling and playing with Auggie and Cody.
I know we will have a wonderful year together. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always here for you.
